Skin concern

Sensitive Skin

Gentleness, on purpose.

About this concern

What's actually happening

Sensitive skin reacts more than most — to products, weather, fragrance, friction, or stress — with stinging, redness, tightness, or flushing.

Sometimes it's tied to a condition like rosacea or eczema; often it's simply a stressed skin barrier. The fix is usually gentleness and consistency, not stronger actives. At Andersen Esthetics, sensitive skin gets the lightest touch we offer. We patch-test, go slow, and skip anything likely to irritate.

The Andersen approach

Our calming facials use minimal ingredients and a gentle approach. Depending on your skin, we may suggest:

  • Refine Facial — a gentle glow without harsh exfoliation.
  • Lactic Acid Peel — a mild, hydrating option, only when your skin can tolerate it.
  • The Basic Facial — a simple, soothing reset.

We'd rather do less and keep you comfortable than push your skin past what it can handle.

At-home essentials

  • Keep your routine simple: a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser and moisturizer, plus a daily mineral sunscreen.
  • Introduce one new product at a time so you can spot what your skin likes.
  • Avoid hot water, scrubs, and strong actives.
  • Stop using anything that stings or burns — that's your skin telling you something.
